Ive never met my father, & im writing him a card

long story short, a couple years ago, and recently, i finally met some of my dads family. ive never met him, partially because hes married to a BSC lady who has already tried to kill him with arsonic (and now hes waiting on a heart transplant), and refuses to let anyone speak to or see him, among other things.

anyways, i am getting my 1/2 sister to take him his fathers day card and give it to him with a picture of DS and myself (everyone tells me he is a spitting image of my dad). I just have no idea what to say. I wrote him a couple years ago, but since finding out how BSC his wife is, i doubt he ever got it.

What do you say to someone youve never met? He did help my mom out until i was 18 with sending her money every month when he could, but thats all i know about him. My family tells me "im not missing out on much" but still, hes my dad and i want him to know i care.

Advice?

    If I were in this sit. I'd tell him that I think of him often and how much I'm enjoying being a mother to DS. That might give him some hope and validity.
