The University President announced his resignation.  I hope to God this doesn't mean that our Winter Break retires with him.  I love getting off between Christmas and New Years.  But he is the one who brought it to campus 6 years ago and he has to authorize it every year (it was never made an official holiday).  *fingers crossed*

    At the university I used to work at, we had that week off as well.  During my time there we got a new prez and were able to keep it.  But it's never known until a few weeks before.  It's not listed as a holiday either.

    My coworker and I switch off, one of us takes chirstmas week off and one takes the week after.

    My work is closed from Christmas eve through New Years.  I love it.  I hope they keep it for you too!

    Hope you don't lose your week off.  I wish my work would do that.  We only get Christmas day and New Years day off.

    TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!
