Question about HPTs

I have heard others mention an evaporation line.  What the helll is that?  Is it just a very, very faint line?  Can it just be a couple of dots on one side of the line, like the ink from the negative sign leaked upwards?  I would PIP but it is so faint that you can't tell, so I may of just answered my own question.  I just wish my period would come and put me out of my misery!!!!  I am going to test again in a couple of days to be sure, but for now I am going nuts.

  • No, an evap line is a line that shows up after the time frame (usually 10 minutes). It can be an actual line, but it's considered invalid since a line needs to appear before 10 minutes is up. It's called an evap line because once the urine starts to dry, the place where a line would be *if* it was positive can appear to have a line.
  • First, let me say your daughter is GORGEOUS.

I've taken tons of hpts, and had only one evap line, and it was with a two-line test, not a plus/minus, which is what it sounds like you're dealing with. My evap line showed up an hour or so after I took it, so I'd say anything you're seeing now - if it's within the time limit, you may be looking at a positive. If there's a very, very faint line that is colored (not grey or white), I'd say positive. If you haven't already, check out peeonastick.com - they have lots of pics.

    Is that good or bad?

I would be thrilled!  I have felt so off this week, I have been dizzy and sick to my stomach and crampy.  It could just be my period coming back, but I just have this strong feeling we made a baby two weeks ago :)

  • Please PIP... even if it's faint, our nestie eyes are keen and we can pick up the faintest of faint positives!!!

Yes let me live through you

  • My crazy asss DH took the test and drew a blue sharpie line on it to try to ease my mind so between his sharpie marks and the tiny dots you really can't tell, I promise.  I have taken three pics and honestly you would call me delusional if you saw it.  I have seen faint lines on HPTs before, this is not a faint line.  It is simply three blue dots north of the negative sign where the top part of the positive would be. (does that make sense??)  Those three blue dots are KILLING ME.  I really think the dye just bled upwards.  I promise you I will test again tomorrow and let yall know.
  • Okay, but you better keep us posted!

Why yes, yes it is. He's a brindle and he's the bees knees. I'd love to have another, but we need a bigger house first! Bon sleeps with us, lives on our furniture, and is the best dog ever. He's our first born:)

  • Boxer people understand each other.  There are no other dogs like them.  He slept with us too but can't anymore bc he can't jump in the bed anymore ( his back legs are giving up on him)  Crying  Don't worry, he is in good health besides that.  Boxer are the sh*t!
