DH and I just got an invitation to a pool party in a couple of weekends. It's thrown by friends of friends of ours, but we have hung out with them before. They live in a ritzy neighborhood and hold lavish parties.
The invite says adults only please. And then there is an insert in the invitation that says:
Dress is casual. Swimwear is optional.
Do you think this means you don't have to go swiimming? Or do you think this means some people will choose to swim naked?
Re: NBR: WDYT?
I think its their way of inviting people to swim if they want??
I've never been invited to a naked swim party via invitation.
swimwear optional makes it sound like skinny dipping. but it probably means they don't expect you to swim.
I would think it's a no-brainer that swimming is optional and it doesn't have to be stated on the invitation!?!?! Have they been to pool parties where they've been forced to swim?
but if you go and it is a nudie swim party, you have to tell us.
This is what I was thinking. The party starts at 4pm. And the invite was a old fashioned popcorn bag with the actual invite inside and "county fair" tickets inserted as well.
Hmmmmm. I don't know if we'll go, but if we do I am sure not rocking the post baby body in front of strangers. And I don't want to see what they and their husbands look like naked if it indeed is a skinny dipping party.
Thats hilarious!
Oooohhhh!
If you don't go, we HAVE to at least go peak over the fence to find out if they are indead swimming naked!!
