Question from 2nd tri. Where are you sleeping?

I know I am only 24 weeks and still have a LONG way to go, but I cannot get comfortable sleeping with DH. I am so hot and always end up in the guest bedroom.

I feel horrible not sleeping with DH. In your experience, does this get better or will it only get worse? Am I destined to sleep alone for the next 3.5 months?

DH and I sleep together. Sometimes it gets really hot and I have trouble getting comfy, but I always will sleep better with him than without.

Our bed is huge (thank god) so this has not been a problem for us. I crank that AC down to about 65 and sleep like a baby!

i'm really hot at night too...but i just don't sleep with a cover.... [i just cover my feet] .. i turn the ac on high, and the ceiling fan on.. and let dh sleep in the arctic. but sleeping in a different room is so not an option around here.. lol...

It only gets worse. I get so hot at night I sleep with a ceiling fan, a fan in the window and one blowing directly on me. My poor DH woke up sick the other morning because he was so cold. I refuse to sleep without him, he doesn't complain, but I do feel bad.

I'm on bedrest, and I'm much more comfortable in the guest bedroom. I have to get up a couple times a night to take meds, and it's really hard to fall back asleep when he's snoring.

We still are in the same bed, but I have the AC and the fan cranked. He's usually bundled up in a husband cocoon and I'm in a sheet.

i sleep in our bed with dh like always. i'm not as comfy as i used to be, but i don't plan on moving anywhere.

are you too hot because the room is warm or because DH is keeping you too warm? If it's the room, make him use more blankets so you can be at a comfortable temp!

We have had a body pillow between us for months which can be hot at times, but not as bad as body heat. He sleeps with sheet and blanket and I just have the sheet or nothing depending on the night.

Later in pregnancy heat will be less an issue and it will be more about other aches and pains. I've slept on the couch in the reclining seat and DH even came out there with me b/c neither of us sleep well without the other.

most of the time im with DH but on some nights I go into the guest room b/c its either too hot or hes being too loud with his breathing..lol..

I've been having trouble temperature-wise when I'm going to sleep lately, too. A few days ago FI and I finally broke down and put in our window unit (we don't have central a/c) and I've been sleeping sooo much better since then (even though I've still ended up kicking the blankets off).

I don't sleep well without DH. Maybe it is just the comfort of knowing he is right there, I don't know. However, when I have gotten hot and then cold and then hot again, I usually throw and then grab the blankets back and forth. Poor DH says it's like sleeping with a wild cat. Thank goodness it won't last forever.

It's him. He bundles himself up and is like a heater. I have the fan on full blast and still have a hard time. I always start out in our bedroom, but end up moving.

I am sleeping fine. Our king bed has enough space for me and my snoogle to be on one side and DH on the other. My cat ends up sleeping between me and my snoogle and sometimes I am less comfy as I don't want to bother him (he just wants cuddles and attention) but overall I can't complain. DH tries to sleep close to me but sometimes I just can't take his high body temp so I ask him to give me some space (poor guy).

The last 2 nights DH has slept on the floor because apparently he says I have been shoving him to the edge of the bed. I had no idea but I have slept pretty well the last 2 nights Smile

We sleep together, but we have a king sized bed so he is a good foot away from me at all times (or I push him away if he rolls onto my side.) If we had to sleep on our queen sized spare bed, I'd probably be miserable.?

I've been sleeping on the couch for a good 2 months due to upper abdomen pain. I used to have to sleep propped up, but now at an angle with my back against the back of the couch. I really miss DH, but the pain I wake up in when I try to stay in bed with him is not worth it. He works OOT, so at least I'd be along 5 nights/wk anyway...

As far as getting too hot-- yeah... I sleep with just a sheet covering me with a tower fan going all night.

We got into a bad habit of DH staying up late and coming to bed when he work up at 2 or 3 am. Then I got so used to him not sleeping with me that sometime during 2nd tri his snoring became unbearable, so he sleeps in the guest room and crawls into bed the last hour of the morning to snuggle.

Well, for me it only got worse- and for DH too. I'm more hot now (since it is indeed hotter outside) and we don't have A/C. I sleep in a fortress of pillows which take up the whole bed and keep my body heat right with me, so it's sweltering. I did sleep on the couch one night but DH can't sleep after he realizes I'm gone (sweet), so I don't do it.

We still sleep together but I have to turn our fan on and only sleep with a sheet on. I wake up hot, too. For a while DH thought HE was going to be sleeping in the guest room because I kept waking him up when I would get up to go pee. lol

We have a king and DH loves it cold so those are not issues for us. He did say that he's getting ready to move to the guest bed though because my snoring is getting so bad. He said as the bump gets bigger the snoring gets louder. Embarrassed

I'm guessing with in the week he'll make the switch, which makes me sad but I understand.
