Clomid a killer for anyone else too - ouch!

Not trying to freak out Mia07 who just posted below, but man, that Clomid (just 50mg) was so freaking painful around O.  For a few days before O, sex was so freaking painful, yes this will be TMI, but it felt like DH's penis tripled in length.  Then the O pain the day of O was so strong I had to stop what I was doing a few times and just work through them (like a contraction just on one side).

    I don't remember pain, but I guess it wasn't actually making me ovulate.  I do remember it made me a hormonal b*tch.

    About me  2007: Started TTC. 2008: OB prescribed clomid, went to RE and was Dx with PCOS. 2009: IUI #1 w/follitsim and trigger = BFP. B/G Twins born at 33 weeks. 2012: TTC #3, Round 2 of Letrozole w/TI = BFP, missed m/c at 8 1/2 wks. Currently on the bench as we make plans for a new home. Anxious to start TTC #3 within the next year!

    Clomid was incredibly painful for me.  I had to stop after one month because I was ended up doubled over at work and had to have a friend drive me home.  I have endo and have a painful O to begin with, and Clomid made that ten times worse.  We moved on to unmedicated IUI's and then IVF because I couldn't function on Clomid.

    Either that, or it felt like my looloo was only 1/2 inch deep.

    Aww, I had some pretty bad cramping, but it was at like 5-7 dpo.  I'm 9 days past O right now and waiting to test.  It wasn't unbearable, but definitely not pleasant.

    i had a lot of pain/cramping around the time I O'd - but we did IUI so were not having sex - but i'm sure that would have hurt.

    I had 2 mature follies - and a bunch of small ones- which i assume is why i was in so much pain/cramping- b/c i was swollen with follies.

    i never had this problem, but then again, wasn't on the clomid long before BFP.

    I only did one round but it was fine for me.

    The two rounds I tried with Clomid (one with IUI, one without) I had no pain but was a poor responder (no matter what the dose). my friend, however, was on the lowest dose poss. and had serious pain, had 3 lead follicles, developed major cysts, and even had to be put in the hospital for a night due to the side effects. It's amazing how Clomid can effect different people.
