For about the last hour or so I have been having mild menstrual like cramps, they come and go every once in a while and my lower back all of a sudden hurts like hell. Is this something typical?

I've had mild mentral like cramps for the last 2 months. I would be concerned if you back starts hurting though... That sounds contraction like so like pp said drink a ton of water an lay down. If they continue call your Dr.

I started getting the same thing last night. They didnt hurt but it felt like I was about to start my period. Not so much today though. I was thinking if it got worse I would call the Dr but I go to see him tomorrow and I will just tell him then.
It's contractions. Drink a bunch of water, lay down and start timing. If it happens more than 4 times in an hour, call your dr.
Yea I figured they were bh but I have never had back pain with them and they never lasted this long.
Even without the back pain you want to pay attention to them. Good luck! I hope drinking water and relaxing makes them stop! I had cramping at one point that wouldn't go away and ended up going in to get monitored for it. It ended up that it wasn't causing any cervical change so they weren't worried. Better safe than sorry though. There really isn't any way to tell if it's causing progress without a physical exam.

They could be BH .. but if they are timeable then I would call my doctor. But it COULD be your uterus growing (round ligament pains) .. not too sure, I'm definitely not a doctor but I agree, you should lay down on your left side and drink water.
