I know I said I was giving up the bump while we TTA, but my Buster is being put down today at 2 and I have to work 2 1/2 more hours before I can go to him and I'm having a hard time keeping it together. And you girls are always such good support.
I am so sad, he is such a good dog. He lived a long time for a lab, nearly 14 years, and he was with me thru my parents divorce, college, everything. I am going to miss him so much. He's lived thru Krohn's (sp?) Disease, thyroid cancer, and a torn intestine (after eating a sardine can, he's a goat!), but last night he had a massive siezure and the vet said it's time, he's not coming back from this. They scheduled him to be put down at 2pm mountain time, so if you would be so kind as to think nice thoughts about him and our family at that time that would be great. This is going to be hard on all of us.
Thanks guys.

Re: NGPR: My dog is dying
I am so sorry. I know putting an animal to sleep is a horrible thing to have to do, but hopefully you find some peace in knowing you are doing what is best for him.
When you get to the vet make sure to take as much time as you need with him and just cuddle him the whole time so he is relaxed until the end.
Lots of hugs!!

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
Oh my...I'm so sorry you are going though this. I went through this a couple of years ago with my dog that had been with us since 5th grade! The only thing that helped me was the thought he no longer will have to be in pain. He will be looking down on you and waiting for you!
Thoughts and prayers are with you!
btw...i went a got a tattoo of all my dogs initials the day after putting my very first one to sleep.

I am so sorry! Your will be in my thoughts and prayers!
Ash,
I am so sorry that you have to go through this. I went through the same not long ago. Its very sad that dogs live such short lives because they truly are a part of the family. My prayers are with you.
This is such a sad time in your life and I'll definitely be thinking about and praying for you and your family as you go through this.
I hope you can find comfort knowing that you're doing what's best for your dog and this is one of the most unselfish acts that you as a dog owner can do. I wish you just a small amount of tears and plenty of happy memories.
