I have cut DS everytime I have tried!! he is a major arm flailer , even in his sleep. I have also tried his mini emory board and biting them off and nothing does a good job. poor kid, he's got such horrible nails!
What size clippers are you using? I was awful with the clippers when I first started - I was using the giant orange Safety First ones with the flashlight on them, because I thought that would be best. Then one day, because I had nothing else around, I tried the tiny ones that came in my Red Cross first aid kit and they worked wonders - it's so much easier!
I am a bad mom in this front. I've bribed my sister to do it every time (she has 3 kids). The clippers we have though have a tiny magnifying glass on them which I would assume makes it easier.
It's so hard. I've cut DS's fingers twice, and I feel so bad when I do it. I wait until he's asleep or just been fed, then I hold his hands as tightly as I dare without making him cry about it. It can take me 10-20 minutes to trim both hands as I try to trim each nail when his hands aren't flailing around.
