38 weeks, no contractions, no progress

Yet another lovely dr appt this morning, with another internal where the doctor has to tell me to relax or i'll fall off the table.  How embarassing! Anyway, no contractions as of yet, not even BH... he says i'd know if i were having them... and no progress internally.  I know theres no normal with being pregnant but blech I can't help but feel like I should be having BH or progressing or something, guess i'll see next week!

    No progress disappoints people. But progress can also give false hope.

    You don't know what will happen or when the baby will actually come! GL!

    If it helps, my BFF just had her baby on her due date and at 38 weeks she had no progress at all. She went in at 39 weeks and was only 1cm. Her water broke the night before her due date and she had her LO by 8:30 the next morning. GL!

    I completely agree with this. It makes me wonder why doctors do internals because they don't seem to tell people much any way.

    Looks like we're in the same club...although I've had a few BH's.

    On top of no progress, my BP is high and might have to be induced next weeek if it doesn't come down.  Induction + no progress + higher risk of c/s= EEK!

    Hang in there...maybe our LO's are just too comfortable!

    Did the doc tell you at least your cervic had softened or moved forward?  I dont' have dilation of effacement ut doc said sine last week the baby has moved further down and my cervix is much softer, so I consider that progress!  Also, as the aby moves down the cervix moves forward

    I know that can be discouraging, but try not to let it get you down too much. With my first pregnancy, I was only dialated to 1cm for weeks. I had literally NO progress until one day my water broke at a birthday party. 12 hrs later, my little guy was born.

    Don't stress..Like i have said 100 times before some Dr don't do internals for just this reason. Mine don't and I am thankful. 

    You can have no progress and go into labor the next day (case with my friend) or you can have progress and sit there at x cm/x% effaced for weeks and end up needing to be induced. Seriously "progress" is a load of crap.
