uterus shrinking

how do you know when your uterus is done going back to its prepreg size and what you are left with is just fat/cant be blamed on that anymore?

Also, I keep getting sharp pains in my stomach and I think its HORRIBLE gas pain (but I cant get it out)-someone asked me if the pain is from my ute shrinking down--does that happen?

    I would say yes... I totally felt my ute shrinking back to size. I would cramp up during my first two weeks during BFing... weird but the nurses told me this would happen.

    In the hospital the nurse told me that the ute should be back to pre-pregnancy size by the time I went for my 6 wk checkup. ?Also, I had wicked cramps for the first few days of BF from the ute contracting down.

    If your stomach pains are during or shortly after BFing it is probably from your uterus shrinking.  It's actually a contraction.
