Oregon Babies

Strawberries + intro

Hey ladies,

Just thought I would introduce myself, as my husband and I just moved to the area.  We're both from Medford, I went to college in McMinnville, and then we moved to Salt Lake City so I could to go grad school.  We're finally back and VERY excited about it!  I'm just over 12 weeks along and we're due just after Christmas.  This is our first child, though we tend to refer to our 7 month old chocolate lab as our first born. :)

Anyway, there is a produce stand about a mile from my house that my sister told me I should check out -- and they have the MOST DELICIOUS strawberries I've ever tasted!  Somehow in all the years I've lived in Oregon, I don't think I have ever had an Oregon grown strawberry, which is what this stand sells.  They're huge, red, sweet, and incredibly juicy.  $13 for 1/2 flat, $22 for a full flat. I think the pints are $2.50/ea.  If you're still buying your strawberries at the grocery store ... stop ... and go to this stand. :) It's on the corner of 185th and West Union in the Bethany/Rock Creek area of Beaverton.

Re: Strawberries + intro

  • Welcome!  Congrats on your pregnancy!  As soon as we finish up our strawberries we have, I will have to head over there!  We got ours from the farmers market.  There is a farmers market on Saturdays by the Safeway on Nw Cornell (cedar hills) and also one on Sundays at Orenco (ne cornell) by the New Seasons...

  • MMMMM strawberries!  Thanks for the PSA.  There is also a stand with delish berries in Beaverton on Farmington across the street from the fire station in the Plaid Pantry parking lot.  Just before you hit downtown Beaverton.  12.50 for half flat, $20 for a full.  SO YUMMY! and so hard to stay away!

Congrats on the pregnancy!  Check out the tri boards too, always fun!!!!!!
