Yes, I am taking it. I get debilitating migraines 3-4 times a week and it's either take it or don't have a job. I got 6 doctor's opinions on it (one of whom is a family member) and they've all assured me if anything does go wrong it won't be from the vicodin. You just can't take it at the very end of your pregnancy because of addiction risks according to my doctors.
I haven't taken vicodin but I am on percocet right now. I only take them when I absoluetly 100% need them. The ER Dr prescribed them to me when he saw the size of my face and my blood pressure when I had an absessed tooth. He said he would rather me not stress or for my blood pressure to sky rocket like that ever again (my pressure was 180/100 and I felt fine other than the pain) he said I was a walking time bomb. He also assured me that acetaminophen (sp) in most forms is fine and that is what vicodin has in it.
yes, i have taken vicodin and percocet for my fibromyalgia pain. like PP, the only risk is getting the baby addicted, but that would have to be a lot of consistent meds right up til the end. i struggled with it too, but sometimes we have to take care of ourselves, too!
