  • Yep!  I cannot be on my back at all if i accidentally roll over there I get so dizzy I cannot see straight!  Oh, and if one more person suggests I put a pillow between my legs I am going to smother them with it...it does not help my leg/hip pain!!!  I will say Tylenol PM is a lifesaver!  The nights I take it, i sleep so well!
  • YES!  I haven't gotten a good night sleep in weeks!  I toss and turn from side to side, and my lower back hurts and my hips ache in the mornings.  I'm a stomach sleeper and I miss it.  I have a body pillow, but it doesn't help all that much.  If anyone has any advice, I'm all for it!

  • I wish I didn't, but I totally know how you feel! I toss and turn all night, and feel like it takes so much more effort to turn in bed than it used to. I feel like an old lady when I get out of bed. I am not a side sleeper either and I am going to talk to my OB at my next visit. A friend of mine said her doctor told her there was really no truth to the whole, don't sleep on your back. I am going to wait and see what the Dr. thinks though, before I go back to sleeping on my back!

Ya, the back is bad bad bad and it bums be out because im such a back and tummy sleeper. My doc said no tylenol pm....so I take Unisom like once a week to try to help out. Maybe its the pillow between my legs that makes my hips/thighs sore...

  • I am definitely having troubles!  I wake up on my back, and then I get beat up from the inside, as well.

Or if I roll over in the middle of the night, he takes that as an invitation to have a dance party in my ute.  Silly boy!!

  • It's been about 7 weeks since I've had anything approaching a decent night's sleep.  I am normally a back sleeper, so transitioning to my side was tough.  I highly, HIGHLY recommend getting a body pillow if you don't already have one.  I couldn't justify shelling out for a Snoogle, so I got a regular long straight one at Target, and it really helps.  I sleep kind of half on my stomach, with the pillow under it, and half on my side.  I just have to be careful how much I'm leaning on my stomach - baby kicks like crazy if it's too much; I can tell he doesn't like it.

Of course, I still wake up a bazillion times to pee or change positions, but the sleep I do get is better than before.  Good luck!

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem.  I was liking wedging a pillow under the side of my stomach and sleeping like half on top of it.  But now I think baby hates it because she starts kicking me as soon as I do that.  Now my hips hurt when I wake up.  Nothing is really comfortable.

Ditto, my hips mostly get sore and I feel like I'm constantly flipping back and forth, which is getting harder to do by the day. I've started sleeping propped up on my back once in a while too, and that's a nice change/relief off my hips. Since I'm not flat on my back I hope it's okay.

  • I'm not a side sleeper either, and she is transverse right now and goes crazy when I'm laying on my side.  I have good nights and bad nights.  Close to 8 weeks left!
  • Last night was horrible he kept kicking me if I would lay on my right side but it was uncomfortable to lay on my left side.

I have good nights and bad nights. I sleep with a pillow between my legs which helps. I also still sleep on my back, it's still pretty comfortable for me. I'll wedge a pillow behind me so I'm sort of half on my back, half on my side ... but yeah, it can be really hard some nights to get comfortable, and I sure wake up a lot more often now! I know it'll only get worse, too ....

  • I just quit sleeping. Ha. Thank God I don't work anymore because I wouldn't be able to function! I literally fall asleep at 4am. It is easier for me to sleep during the day on the couch because it keeps me propped on my side. I don't want to give up sleeping with my husband just yet. He takes serious offense to that. Hopefully the next 19 weeks will go by fast!! Confused
