House Update :)

As y'all know, we were having some issues with the crawlspace and all that good stuff.

 

Abe and I put some downspout extensions on the gutters and diverted rainwater from falling (stupidly) at the foundation of the house. We're going to install a perimeter drain around the house sometime in the coming weeks (if it ever stops raining!) to permanently fix the water in the crawlspace issues.

 

Anyhow, we had some family/church friends that own a contracting/electrical/everything really business come out and install a new a/c-heat pump unit, update some wiring and take out the old baseboard heating units so all of that is now up-to-date.

 

While we were out there yesterday, settling our bill and such with them, we started talking about the damaged joists and seal (sill?) plate in the crawl space. They both agreed that they'd take our crawl space on as a "mission"!!! They have the materials to jack up the floor, all we have to do is provide the new materials and they said they'd work with us so we can fix it SmileSmileSmile

 

I LOVE MY CHURCH! The people seriously rock there! I'm not kidding, the power of prayer is amazing. We were quoted $11,000 to fix the crawl space - including the perimeter drain, new pea gravel, new joists, etc. This is awesome! We should be able to get started next week and it'll be a relatively quick/easy fix.
