When to start trying again after m/c?

I just had m/c no. 2 and am really confused at when I am clear to start trying again. My doctor is saying have a regular cycle and then after that try again.....but I am hearing tons of different things. Anyone have a suggestions or info I might could use? I also am being tested for a clotting disorder that may be the cause of my m/c. Our first was an unplanned pregnancy but I am just as heatlhy and non harming to my body then as I am now....we lost baby one on Nov. 6 08 and I just m/c sat thru yesterday with no. 2 at 6w2d.. Im so confused! :/

    As far as when to try again, you'll get a ton of answers here because we were all told different things depending on our cases.  My doctor told me to have 1-2 AF and then we could start TTC.  I was 12w when I m/c

    I'm so, so sorry for your losses.

    As far as TTCing again, different doctors give different advice. I had a natural miscarriage at 6 weeks, and my doc recommended waiting one cycle, just like yours did. Other girls are told to wait 2 or 3 cycles, so it really seems to depend on the doctor (although it also seems to me like the further along that you are, the longer they recommend waiting, and that girls who get D&Cs also get longer recommendations than those with natural miscarriages - I could be wrong, that's just the impression that I get). I'd stick with your doctor's advice for now.

    If your doctor said one cycle, I'd go with that.

    They always say to wait until at least 1 AF comes (esp with a d&c).

    meh, I just had a natural m/c and decided if doc says everything is back to normal, and I O at a normal time, I'm going for it. But, that may not be the right thing for you.  

    If your having testing done at least wait until those results come back.

    Im so sorry for your losses. After my first m/c, we waiting one full cycle and then ttc again. The doctor said to wait two cycles. I had a CP at the beginning of the month. We are going to try again this cycle. Good luck to you!

    Thank you all for your answers. I am truly sad when it comes to this board because I never thought my body would fail me. But....we just have to cowgirl up and realize it happened for a reason and keep on tryin'! I am so glad to hear from people that have some suggestions....please feel free to suggest away on my topic. :) Have a great day ladies!

    When you m/c early, it seems that the dr will tell you to only wait 1-2 cycles.  I would listen to your dr, rather than everyone on here, because everyone on here lost their baby at a different stage in the pregnancy, because of various circumstances, has various medical conditions, is on various medications, etc.  i.e. I lost my baby at 18 weeks because of pprom (I was dilated and effaced, my water broke, so I had to have a d&e), therefore, I was told to wait 9-12 months before getting pregnant again.
