We had our first appointment to and everything went well. We just went over our medical history and then we were told the steps for my next cycle.
CD 1 begin taking Doxycycline (for HSG) and make all my appiontments. CD 12/13 Ultrasound & Physical, CD 21 Progestrone level drawn. I also need to go for blood work and have an HSG. DH will have 2 SA and blood work. This is great. I am glad we are being proactive and will have a treatment plan by CD 25-27.
The money part is what I am overwhelmed about. It was over $500 today and we barely did anything. I knew it was going to be expensive but I guess I didn't realize how expensive.
It is not fair that all my friends have babies and did not have to fork out an arm & a leg to get there.
Thanks for letting me vent. I have been in tears since we got home and I don't think DH knows what to do. Poor guy I feel bad for him.
Re: 1st RE appiontment and already overwhelmed
Today was my first appt. too! I am so in the boat with you on the overwhelmed part! Didn't it just feel like there was about 500 pounds of info they tried to shove into you brain?? lol I haven't cried...yet. I have felt it coming a couple of times, but I've managed to push it back down. I'm sure it will soon, probably when I'm trying to go to sleep, that's when things usually creep up on me.
*sending hugs and baby dust your way* GL
The first appt is really overwhelming. DH and I went out to a nice dinner the night of our consult and made a point to not talk about what we discussed at the RE. We just relaxed. I looked over a little of what he gave me every day until I had covered all of it (it took about a week- I really paced myself) and I stayed away from Google!
GL! It's overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of everything, it gets easier. I love going to my RE now.
