Babies on the Brain

My HS boyfriend contacted

me through Facebook. ?Other than running into to him for about 5 minutes a few years ago I haven't seen/talked to him in over 15 years. ?Oddly enough it wasn't weird catching up with him even though our relationship ended horribly. ?I guess enough time has gone by and we were so young (14-17). ?It's amazing the people that are on there!

Re: My HS boyfriend contacted

  • I think as long as people have matured, the weirdness goes away.

DH's friend is dating a girl who got pregnant.  She's DH's ex-girlfriend from HS, and she was his first/he was her first.  I thought it was going to be weird meeting her, but she's totally cool.  And with my DH there was a bit of akwardness for the first five minutes, but now he's fine.  We've seen them twice since the first meeting.

We figured that we had to get over it anyway, since DH and his friend are really close (and DH will probably be in his wedding).

Edit:  I do kind of hate her though, since she's one of those "omg, we totally weren't even trying and we got pregnant - wow, this is easier than I thought!  We're having an oops baby ::giggles::"

  • My highschool boyfriend tracked me down at a job 3 1/2 years ago.  I'm married to him now!

  • Yeah once enough time passes, all the bad stuff seems like water under the bridge. I think there has to be maturity with both people though.

One ex I know will probably never be to that point of maturity.
