f/u remember to keep white flag in car

To follow up on what Mandee said, I have another suggestion for something to keep in your car if you don't already.  I work for a major insurance company and I've dealt with at least 5 insureds who have died or been seriously injured because they were stuck in their car when it caught on fire.  They couldn't get the doors open and couldn't get windows down so they literally burned alive.  We don't really have any bodies of water out here in Las Vegas, but this tool would also work in cases where you are stuck underwater in your vehicle.

Had those in the accident simply had one of these they could have had a greater chance at survival or lower chance or injury.  This is a window punch.  Push the button and your entire window will break so  you can escape.  Sounds dramatic, and I'm normally naive and not one to panic (can't happen to me, right?) but after reading about my 3rd death in a vehicle fire, I went out and grabbed two for DH and me.

    My MIL gave us these in our stockings a few Christmases ago. I thought it was weird at the time - actually, I didn't even know what it was - but now I agree its a good thing to have.
