meds while "trying"

I recently tried to go off my lexapro meds in order to start trying, im having a hard time. any advice? I believe there is a kind you can take while pregnant but im not sure.

    I hope you are going off them under the supervision & guidance of a doctor.  You cannot stop taking anti-depresents cold turkey.

    I'm being serious.  I'm not flaming you.  I've been on Lexapro before.

    Please talk to your doctor, especially if you have stopped those pills without supervision.

    We are not the right people to ask you need to ask your doctor. Esp with Lexapro my SS takes that for his Autism Anxiety and you do not want to just start you never know it might even be safe while pg..but we wouldnt know that you doctor will.

    I did talk to my doctor about it. I am cutting down a little every week. but i can already feel the anxiety/depression coming back which makes it hard on us.

    Oh, good about doing this with a doctor.

    Call your doctor and discuss this with him/her.  My experience coming off Lexapro was completely different (and so will everyone else's) considering we all have different bodies & body chemistries.

    Honestly, if you cannot handle being off the meds just yet, then it's not time.  You need to be the healthiest mom you can be both emotionally & physically before you bring a baby into the world.

    FWIW, I would also discuss PPD with your doctor, the risks, symptoms, and potential treatments.

    I know exactly how you feel. I suffer from depression myself and am currently taking wellbutrin and lithium. I'm currently seeing a doctor who specializes in treating depressed women who are trying to become pregnant or are pregnant. Is your doctor a specialist in this area? If not, ask your doctor for a referral, it may help. I'll stop taking the lithium as soon as I get pregnant.
