My wee little one is doing well. Asleep he/she had a heart rate of 133 and then when s/he awoke it went up to 150. The little one is camera shy. It took a ton of giggling and me squirming to try to get him/her to move around, then when s/he did it was only for a brief second and s/he said "I'm done with that" and flipped right back over. I do have 2 great shots of the back of the baby's head and back, but it is the prettiest back of the head anyone did ever see! I also saw the little frog legs, and arms moving about - oh my gosh, I am so in love!!!
As far as markers, the doctor said all looked good so far but of course we need to wait until the blood work comes back, next week. Speaking to the genetics counselor helped since I have a cousin with Downs Syndrome, she does not believe in this case it is hereditary (although in some cases it can be) since my Aunt and Uncle (my moms brother) also have a son who is healthy, plus all other children in my moms family are well and there are no history of m/c. I worked to hard to do anything further, besides although my cousin needs life long care, he is the most lovable human alive, I would never end pregnancy if the markers come back high. But knowing the chances will help me worry less or prepare more.
So yay! I am coming out to friends who do not know yet and Facebook today! I am so excited to allow this all to be real and let the world in!
