  Is this someone who has a full-time job as your housekeeper, or someone who would come over every couple of weeks and clean, or something in-between?

  My cleaning lady comes every other week and cleans my kitchen, family room, living room, dining room, 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms.  She dusts, vacuums or scrubs the floors, cleans counters, polishes the stainless steel, etc.  Sometimes she even oils our trim (I've never asked her to, she just does it on her own).

  I try to have everything cleaned up, and organized when she gets here so she doesn't have to spend any time cleaning up our messes and can get into the deep cleaning.

  Mine comes weekly, every Monday.  She takes all bedding off all our beds (master, DS's room, guest bedroom) and puts all our towels and washcloths into the laundry and does all our laundry (including DS's) and folds that and puts it all away.  She straightens up our drawers and closets.  She scrubs all floors in the apartment, vacuums all rugs, dusts, cleans all blinds, cleans all tables and surfaces.  She puts any dishes out in our dishwasher and runs that and puts it all away.  She thoroughly cleans our kitchen and bathrooms.  She cleans our fridge and throws out old food.  Empties all our garbage and recycling.  Makes all beds.

  Oours does this every two weeks except the emptying the fridge part. However if i asked her to, she would
