The boat on the right in the sig pic is the one on which I race ... we were on starboard tack (which means we had right of way), and crossing in front of the other guy. We weren't quite as close as we look in the photo, but he did have to alter course. Ha HA!
The other one is a nod to BOTB (and, really, to P&E on the Knot). :-)
Starts are awesome ... I love pinching guys out at the boat end or a port tack pin end start coming in on everyone on starboard and flopping after the gun ...
That's actually a race from 2007, so I wasn't on the boat then (we moved at the end of 2006), but I used to run foredeck. The owner (at the helm) was one of the only guys on the lake that had an all woman crew.
