when is the earliest you should test?

just curious ... i am about 8 dpo and i feel like i did with my first, but i know that i could be psyching myself out.  i have heard you can sometimes detect at 10dpo, but just wondered what is generally the best time to test...

    If "best" = most accurate, then you should test when your period is due.

    what i would lke to know is what is the earliest you can test and get a positive result ... is it when you miss a period?  I have heard it can be sooner ...

    HPT accuracy 10 dpo= 35% 11 dpo= 51% 12 dpo= 62% 13 dpo= 68% 14 dpo= 74% 15 dop= 80% 16 dpo= 88% 17 dpo= 92% 18 dpo= 99%

    Test when you are late, but then again, I tested at 8DPO and got a positive.

    You can test before you are late, however you may or may not get an accurate test. There is always the possibility you tested too soon. I know it is hard.

    Warning: I had a false negative at 11dpo on an ept.  Best time is always the day after af is due.

    It may not have been a false negative, implantation occurs 7-10 dpo which means you may not have had a high enough level for the test to pick up. You probably just tested too soon.

    it just depends...there is no "right" answer.  personally, i've never had a + earlier than 12dpo.  some people might get a + earlier.

    I had a BFN at 10dpo, BFP at 11.

    Some people won't get a BFP till 18dpo, it all depends on YOU.
