total hormonal day, hard drive crashes, praying to the mac

geniuses they can recover my files. ?I thought I backed up all the pics I had in IPhoto and come to find out- nope- I am missing the last year and a half! I called the apple store since they just replace my driver today and I am hoping they can recover them. All the pics of DD - gone, vacations- lesson learned ladies, ?especially after you have DC, ?back up your files. I was sobbing. I find out tomorrow if they can get to them all.?

    Same thing happened to us recently, but Geek Squad at Best Buy saved everything for us!

    luckily the HD was on the verge of dying so it was still operational to a point when they took it out. Its going to cost me $100 but I dont care. My mac is under warranty so i didnt have to pay for any of the repairs but - I am a wreck. I do photography so pics are a huge part of my life.

    Good luck on recovering your files.  I feel your pain.  My hard drive on my mac recently crashed and mac wasn't able to recover any of my files.  I am hoping that my pictures that I need for clients are all backed up.  I am getting ready to send my old hard drive off to see if someone else can recover the files and not charge me out the butt for it.
