What are you doing for your dad for father's day?

What did you do for your mom for mother's day? I always feel like crap b/c I usually get my mom some flowers or something but have no idea what to get my dad. Here dad! Have a wrench!

Buying him a new life jacket! He's an avid waterskiier and really wants a $150 life jacket and new skiing gloves. My sisters and I are going in together to get them for him.

We did the same thing for my mom, but we got her a Nintendo Wii and Wii Fit. She was uber pumped.

I'm the organizer of all this though...the other two just fork out the cash. LOL.

my dad loves fresh fruit and fruit salads so i looked up ediblearrangements dot com and was going to send him a fruit arrangement... but they dont deliver there

so now i dont know.

We usually go to lunch or dinner and just spend time together. I did the same with my Mom. This year I get to get Dh something which will be fun to celebrate with him.

I'll probably buy him a gift certificate for a golf supply store, since he loves to golf. You're right - dads are harder to buy for. Moms are much easier!

I'll probably take him out to dinner. But it probably won't be on Father's Day because the same day is my SIL's baby shower which I am hosting.

We got my mom a Keurig and had a BBQ at my parents house per her request. DH and I are bringing my dad to Englishtown today for the races as his Father's Day gift. We've been wanting to bring him for a few years now, but it's always been on Father's Day and my dad usually has a work event that he loves going to on that weekend. So thankfully this year Englishtown isn't on Father's Day.

This sounds so typical "Father's Day"...but it's what my Dad wants...we're getting him Pi cologne. Heh! And his birthday is the same day, so we're getting him a gift certificate to his favorite restaurant. Not very original, but he'll love the gifts.
