Gift for mother of twins?

Hey Ladies!!

My cousin just gave birth to 2 little girls. She now has 4 under 4! What is something that you thought was essential for life as a mom of multiples when they were infants? I know she has a ton of clothes and a ton of toys...I would love to get her something that would maybe make her life a tiny bit easier. Any carriers you guys like??? or anything that you found to be the best gift??

Thanks!!!

  • I just want to say that your siggy pics are precious!!

As for a gift, maybe an extra Boppy if she only has one...?  The overall consensus on here is that it is/was super-helpful to have one for each baby!  Does she have 2 bouncers &/or swings?  She will eventually need 2 highchairs too.  Other than that, she's probably pretty set since it's her 3rd/4th.  Congrats & best wishes to her!

  • Oh, also...we went through TONS of bibs & burp cloths!  Maybe a cute twin-themed bib set or something?  Sorry I'm not more helpful!
  • Honestly, she probably has a lot of the stuff she already needs from her other children, so a few things I got that I really appreciated were gift cards for BRU & Target and for places to order in food.  Also, the girls in my MoM's club organized dinners for the first 2 weeks or so - that was wonderful to not have to worry about and some of the girls brought everything from drinks to dessert and then stayed a bit to chat and help me out with the boys while their older kids played with my daughter.  So, dropping off dinners or even taking the older 2 kids off her hands for a few hours might be something she'd appreciate more than something tangible.
  • I know we used our swings and papasan seats a great deal for the first few months our girls were home. But as was already said, she probably already has some of those.

I definitely agree with the meals!! We had to find the time to actually inhale something while taking care of our girls, so having something premade to just throw into the oven is great!!

I'll vote for anything that makes life easier for her--food (either making it yourself or gift certificate for delivery, personal chef that delivers, etc), gift certificate for house cleaning, or offering to take the older kids for a while. Food was definitely the best thing for us...from my mother here making some of my favorites :-)  to a friend who gave us a gift certificate to a personal chef that delivered and we were able to get entrees for 10+ meals.

  • i have yet to deliver, but food and cleaning sound like the perfect gifts! everyone says we will need those things desperately! also, if she is breast feeding, a twin nursing pillow may be very helpful! i have heard mixed reviews on them. some moms swear by them and others prefer to have two boppies.
  • I would say food, taking the older ones outside of the house just to play and stay busy, diapers, wipes, and tons of burp cloths.
