Trying to figure out if I am really contracting this time...

in 3rd Trimester
I have had contractions on and off since Sunday. But tonight it feels like I am having some very bad menstrual cramps they do go around to my back a little but only on my right side.  But I can talk with them but I also did just go to the bathroom so I was worried the pain was from that but they are still coming on. I just started timing them and contraction master says 5 mins apart but the pain is not as bad as with my first so I am going to try to wait it out some more. If anyone is still on, does this sound like the real thing??

    I have no idea!! I suspect that I have had one real contraction... but I'm not sure. It woke me up out of a deep sleep and it felt like a MAJOR gas pain. Worst I've ever had. But it definitely wasn't and it was just one contraction, so I wasn't worried.

    I am thinking now since they are still going on that they are contractions but I am going to wait until 4am to see if they get worse.

    Well, when I first noticed that they were more then just gas pains and started timing them, they were 10 mins apart or so.  I then got up and got in the shower and did some quick light cleaning.  When I was standing they were about 4-5 mins apart and now that I'm sitting they are more like 9 but more painful... Does any of this make sense???

    Yes it does. I am going to go and get a shower and see if they continue and then call the doctors from there. I just wish I had a different sign to know for sure such as water breaking or bloody show. Sitting mine are 5 mins apart but I have only been timing them for about 45 mins.

    OH - I also had bloody show at 2am.  Well, it wasn't really that bloody.  It looked like snot (so I knew it was my mucus plug) and had like 2 thin streaks of blood in it.  Thats when I got in the shower!

    I'm going to go make brownies... it will give me something to do.  I'll check back in.  Let me know how youre doing after your shower!!!
