Me and H didn't just because we don't care what brand we get. I guess I just expect people to buy diapers whether we register or not. Do you think people would want us to register for specific brands and sizes?
We're planning on CD'ing but I still would not register for them because I think people are still going to buy them for you. I usually do when I go to a shower. Even if you did register for them people probably wouldn't pay attention to the size. The nice thing is if you get a ton of the same size you can exchange them for the next size up.
Really, until you have your baby, it's useless to stock up on diapers because you don't know what will work for your baby. We tried Huggies, Luvs, Target brand, Walmart brand and pampers. The ONLY ones that didn't leak on our kids were Pampers. My friend had kids that could only wear huggies. Another friend had twins and one had to wear luvs and the other wore huggies. We didn't get many diapers at our shower for our first baby. I'm actually glad since we didn't know that only pampers would work.

I wouldn't "expect" diapers. My mom put inserts in the invites asking if people would help us out and bring a pack of diapers. That way we'll get an assortment of brands/sizes and find what works best. But, we've never been to a shower where it was expected, or assumed as a given.
The only ways I've seen them are if random people throw them in, not a majority of those invited, or if the host(s) make something out of diapers for the parents to then take.

I don't think expect was the right word for what I meant. I more meant that most showers I go to, diapers are usually given so I just didn't think to register for them. I usually give a small pack of diapers but never look at what brand/size people ask for on registries so I guess I assume others don't really look at that either.

K, see what you're saying more clearly now.
When my mom put the inserts in the invites, we specifically didn't put a brand or sizes so that people are able to pull upon their experiences and offer what they think will work best. This way we are able to whittle down what will work best. There will be many moms at our shower and I'd like the opportunity to draw upon their knowledge, since they'll have a reason for buying whatever kind/size, to give us a starting point as to what we can narrow down for us.
I registered for 1 box of Huggies Gentle Care in size NB, 1 and 2. I figured if people see the Huggies on my registry they will hopefully get the same brand, who knows.
I've also started stocking up myself. I have Huggies, Walgreen's brand, and Costco. I don't like the fragrance Pampers uses, and I think it tends to cause more problems with diaper rash.
I am just because I want something that is green. ?I also have heard that certain brands, like Pampers can be irritating because of the fragrance. ?I also got a ton of hand me downs from my sis, so what I really need are the basics like diapers and wipes!
Re: Did you register for diapers?
This is us too!
