2nd appointment and ultrasound

I had my 2nd appointment this morning. We still can't find the heartbeat, but the doctor did an abdominal ultrasound and the baby was jumping around like crazy! That was the reason we couldn't hear the heartbeat!

    Why didn't they do a vaginal U/S? My second appt. 7/16, they said would be a vaginal US to hear the heart beat....

    I don't think their ultrasound equiptment will allow you to hear the heartbeat. I had a vaginal ultrasound for my first appointment. Either way at both appointments we saw a heartbeat, so I'm happy.

    I can't wait to hear my LO's heart beat - - With only being 7 weeks, I don't feel nor look pregnant and some reassurance would be nice!

    They saw my baby's HB with a regular ultrasound when the baby was measuring 6 weeks 3 days, They didn't see a HB with the vaginal u/s at 5 weeks 6 days.
