I think the people who make up annoying AEs

Must be such B!tchy busybodies who are so nosy IRL that they have completely alienated all of their friends and family. They realize that they are this way, and on the internet they can have their "I'm a closeted wench" personality" that everyone "likes" or accepts, and then they make an AE so they can act the way they would ordinarily because they can't stand to be out of the loop here too.

    I think you are correct about a lot of people.  I also think there are others who need an outlet for their high horse that they must keep in the closet to keep their friends.  A lot of people have trouble with 'live and let live'.
