Night time diaper leakage

ok so this has been happening for a few days now where Hunter has woken up at least an hour or two earlier than normal crying and wet as anything. I have tried the Huggies Overnight diapers and his regular ones. After he eats and then gets his night time milk, I give him about 20-30 mins to go pee more just in case. I also try to make sure his wee wee is point downwards when I put his last diaper on before bed but its been like 4 days in a row that he has woken up wet. Any suggestions on other diapers to try. He is a little over 23 lbs and the huggies i bought are for 22 and up so i think that he is still a little too small for them, but I am tired of washing blankets and stuff every morning.

Re: Night time diaper leakage

  • I just found some Pampers Extra Protection (think that's what they are called) and they seem to work great.  We still have occasional leaks in the AM but not nearly as bad as it used to be.  And we cut down on the amount of milk we give them at bedtime and I think that helps a little too.

  • Pampers has a new nighttime diaper but the only other option is to change him while he is sleep before you go to bed.

I used a product called Diaper Doublers.  Publix used to carry them, but quit b/c the product was discontinued.  Do an online search for Diaper Doublers, and you'll see similar products.  I think there may even be a new version of it.  It's like a maxi pad for diapers.  never had a leak when using them.

what size are you using?  I would try size 4 in the overnights.  with Alec I could never go by the weight..I always went up a size at night.

  • When this started happening I just went up a size at nighttime and it worked - even with the cheap generic store brand diapers.  Try going up a size at night.  I also beleive PUblix has diaper doublers which have helped some of my friends.
  • The huggies that I have are the size 4 ones and hunter is a little over 23 lbs and the huggies size 4 starts at 22 lbs and up. I think I am just going to limit him milk at night, he does not seem to interested in it anyway. At least this morning when he woke up, he was dry, but then again, he only had less than half of his milk.
