Had a little scare - maybe TMI

I had a little scare this morning but I think I'm ok. This might be too much info, but in the shower "down there" I had a tiny bit, like the size of an eye booger, and consistency of an eye burger "stuff" that was brown in color. I found it twice in the shower then one more time before I left the house. I got to work and there was nothing there when I wiped. I've read that red is bad (fresh blood) but brown (old blood) is ok. My first thought is its old blood. I don?t think I'll call the dr. b/c it was sooo minimal and I don?t think I'd call it "spotting" but I don?t know what it was. I had my 2nd dr.'s appointment Wed and it went well (heard the heartbeat). I had blood drawn after the appointment - not sure if it's related to this?

 

 And of course, I had my 2nd miscarriage dream last night.

 

If nothing else happens, would you be concerned?

    I was told to only worry about a little of that if there was pain associated or there was more than a little bit.

    But it never hurts to call your doctor and verify.

    I'm sure it's nothing, but calling might make you feel better.  Did you have an internal exam or u/s on Wednesday?  It's possible the spotting is from that.

    Did you have an internal u/s yesterday?  If so, that could cause some spotting.  If it's not associated with cramping I wouldn't worry too much about it.  Although, I would maybe just put a call into the advice nurse to have it on file.

    I spotted from 4.5 -8 weeks both brown and red a few times - clearly it turned out fine for me.  If this is your first incidence with spotting though I would put a call in to your doctor.  Since I spotted for a long time I would jst send my doctor an email when it happened.

    It was not an internal exam. She used a doppler (I think thats what its called?) on my abs.

    Totally normal.  In face... be prepared for an increase of CM through out your whole pregnancy (not usually with a color).  I'd place a call to your Dr anyway... just to let them know what's up.

    No, we haven't had sex, mainly for this reason actually. :) I sent an email to the head nurse at my dr.'s office. She hasn't responded but I'll mention it at my next appointment in 3 weeks.
