Honestly the longer the baby bakes the happier I will be, but I know once I hit 40 weeks I will be miserable from the heat, swelling and just waiting lol!
You know, sometimes I start feeling sorry for people because they've been posting for days, even weeks, about being ready and their lack of progress, etc. Then I realize- wait- she's just 40 weeks today! It feels like we've been "waiting" for 3 weeks! LOL
I agree Lils. I think it is time a certain someone puts their big panties on and stops complaining!
Note to the certain someone: Suck it up. Your pregnant. No one said it would be easy at the end.You should be grateful your LO is staying in until they are ready.

I understand wanting to get it over with, but once they are born, your life is so different. I am cherishing these last few weeks I have with my DH before our life makes a dramatic change. I wish everyone looked at it like that. We have made it 37 weeks already, what is 3 more? LOL

Exactly!! Some women do not get "lucky enough" to complain about being miserable at 34... er, 37/38 weeks. Be thankful to not have a preemie!
I was being very patient and was fine with baby going all the way, maybe a little past until I found out how big she is and that if she's huge my doctor feels strongly that I will need a c-section. Now I just want her out.
I agree. I hope in many many ways that my LO stays in their past my EDD. Sure, people might say that it's easy to say that, but that's how I feel.
Don't get me wrong, I want my baby out as much as the next person... I am miserable being pregnant. BUT I would rather be pregnant all the way until 40 weeks than to have to leave my hospital without my baby because I was selfish and he had to stay in NICU.

I'm not sure if you're refering to me or not, but you could be.
In my case i'm not complaining about being 'overdue'. But when youv'e been having regular, painful contractions for 3 weeks, it gets old. And uncomfortable.
Of course I'm happy my baby is staying until he/she is ready. But that does't make me any more comfortable.

i have the same paranoia hula- and most of the time i remark on my lack of progress or wanting to go soon, i try to remember to add that I have PIH and my dr is pushing for induction- so i wish to get the show on the road to avoid that, not just to end things early

Nope, not you. If you've done it, I hadn't noticed.
I know to whom you are refering. She has medical reason to be concerned. I know how much you dearly love to find reasons to flame her, but in this case, IMO it's needless.

I have yet to see a legit medical reason. I have, however, seen a few BS ones.

And you're perfectly entitled to your opinion. I'm entitled to disagree with you. That's the beauty of it.
Re: I think it's silly when...
pPROM at 27 weeks, Birdy born at 28 weeks at 2lb 7oz.
well, considering we don't have a speed bake feature...
I hate being pregnant, so that would be pretty nifty if there was one.

Iris used to have a sig pic of Cookie Monster with a caption "F*** this shiit, give me cookies!"
I'm sad I can't find it. It seems appropriate right now
