Babies on the Brain

So I have an icky, TMI-ish postpartum question.

Are the hemorrhoids just mine forever, to have and to hold until death do we part? Or can I expect them to go away at some point? 'Cuz it's been five months, and while they're no where near as bad as they were immediately postpartum, I'm definitely over having them.

  • Oh no!  I'm not looking forward to having these!

  • I've still got some too.  It sucks.  I got them really bad during pregnancy and they got a little worse after labor.  And they are still there, not nearly as bad but still hanging on.  So I'm right there with you.
  • I've had them since I was 16 or 17. ?At age 30, I'm pretty sure they're here to stay. ?:( ?It's not constant, but I'm pretty sure they're with me for life.

  • UGH! ?I've been wondering this too. ?Can't they just snip them off when you are already numbed up down there?

  • You can actually get minor out patient surgery to get rid of them but I don't know if they just do it on huge ones.

  • I didn't get them until the end of my pregnancy but delivery really made them worse. I'm nervous about the prospect of beginning another pregnancy already having them! Yikes :(

    Same here.

  • Yep, with you forever unless you have them removed. Big fun.

Holy sweet Jebus, DON'T DO THAT.  Just having them cut open and the clots revmoved was excruciating.  I can't imagine recovering from labor and deal with that.

OUCH, yikes! I wasn't numb for the delivery anyway so this wouldn't have worked for me.....but yeah, the thought of having them lanced does make me cringe.
