Update on my Aunt, and Thank you again

Hi all,

I promised I'd update on my Aunt (who fell from her scooter 1/2 way down her 2nd story ramp and laid in a thunder and lightening and rain storm overnight on Monday).

She is still in the hospital and had surgery yesterday for her broken hip. They had to put a titanium rod in because it was shattered pretty badly. She also had a pretty bad case of hypothermia from laying in the rain as it was in the low 50's overnight. They also believe she had a heart attack at some point during the night lying on the ground (most likely from the trauma of it all) which would explain why she vomitted during the night as well.

She is doing okay today, I spoke with her briefly, but she is still pretty weak and a little groggy, although thats probably from the pain meds she is on.

I just wanted to thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. I'm sure they helped my aunt (and I know they helped me) during such a tragic and stressful time.

You are all amazing women and I am touched by everyone's caring and kindess.

Thanks for the update. I've been thinking of your family often and keeping you all in my prayers! I will continue to do so, but I'm glad to hear she's doing ok.

Thanks for posting Jenn, was wondering how she was doing. What a horrible thing to go through, I can not even imagine how scared she was lying outside all night. Praying big ones for a speedy recovery.
