I had my ER this morning and apparently there were about 30 follies (which explains why I felt so damn full the last few days) and 13 eggs. Totally pleased with my 13 eggs. Will do 4 in-vetro and 9 ICSI.
But has anyone else had a lot of empty follies? Seems excessive. My RE didn't seem too concerned... she said it goes along with the 'type of ovaries' that I have. But really? Is this common?
Re: ER this morning - 13 eggs, 17 empty follies
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

my friend awoke from her ER w/ ALL empty follicles. she was devastated. i'm not sure what the issue was, they think it may have been her trigger shot but i'm not sure of the final thoughts.
glad you got 13 though, that's excellent!!!?
Wow, tons of folllies and eggs!
Just our of curiousity, what was your estrogen level. Wondering if that is indicative of how many follies have eggs.
GL!
My RE doesn't take estrogen levels each time, but she did take it on Sunday and it was 1177. At that time we saw by u/s that there were 15 follies, but it wasn't yet time to trigger (did that Tuesday night). I'm sure there is some tricky math that can be done and someone could figure out if that's an indication.
I've wondered about PCOS. The RE mentioned it in passing, but then when I asked about it later she said it wasn't anything to worry about. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Time to google PCOS symptoms and testing.
