Anyone do the q-tip test while waiting for BFP?

I am currently 13dpo and I have been doing the q-tip test for 4 days and it is a brown tint.  Did anyone do the q-tip test before getting a positive test and have a color but ended up getting a BFP later?

I have tested since 10dpo and it has been negative every day

    I've been around here for a long time through TTC and babies but never heard of the Q-tip test.  What is it?

    The Q-Tip test: if you think AF might be on her way, but you're not actually spotting, you can slip a Q-Tip up your hoohaw  - if the Q-Tip comes out pink, Aunt Flo is on her way (i.e., "failing" the test).

    I had brown spotting for two days before I got my BFP - could just be implantation bleeding. In my case the spotting went on for weeks, but I wouldn't say a brown QTip puts you out of the running. :)
