So the ultrasound results were not good, but not terrible. Good news first: my uterine lining looks good ? no problems there. But that?s where the good news ends.
First, I talked to my doctor more about why I?m on Clomid (for clarification). He said that while I?ve had temp changes, I?ve likely never had an ovulation strong enough to get pg because my hormones were all out of whack.
He described my CM as ?terrible.? He said it might improve over the next couple days, but if not next month we?re going to do estrogen and /or IUI. I think he?s leaning toward IUI.
I only had one follicle that even looked close to promising (right side). I forgot to ask about the measurement, but he said if I do ovulate it will probably still be a few days. There were a few tiny, insignificant follies on the left side. Depending on what the next ultrasound says, he may up the Clomid dose next month.
Going forward, he wants me to call him when I get a +OPK and he?ll do another ultrasound and possibly yet another after supposed ovulation.
This news is really challenging my new positive outlook on TTC, but I?m not going to let it get me down. I will get knocked up eventually.
Re: Update from the ultrasound
it's called a kilt, he's scottish
I'm so sorry Savat.. I'm glad, that like Cathy, you have a plan in place. I know it's tough to keep a positive outlook, but you're doing a good job at it.
Keep us posted..
Also, if you don't mind me asking
How did you go about asking for specific testing from your doc prior to hitting the 12 month mark? You & Cathy really have me wanting to go get all this stuff checked out.
Good but not terrible is our themesong today
GIANT HUGS.
It sounds like you dr really knows his stuff! I'm sorry for the difficult news, but at least your dr has a good handle on whats going on!

I wasn't monitored last month so I don't know what they looked like then.
A post coital test checks for sperm swimming in your CM so no, didn't do that. But he did physically check it.
Also, I'm on Ch 14 and I had a +OPK on this CD last month. I guess he's thinking maybe I should have fertile CM by now. But that's why he's going to check again when I get a +OPK
Because I had progesterone tests that were way low. Apparently that is a sign that your other hormones are low. Plus, I went for months with never getting a +OPK and even when I did it was usually just one day.
Oh - interesting. I didn't know it was bad to only have 1 day of a +OPK.
Baby dust to you! Keep us updated!

How insensitive to use the word "terrible". I have seen plenty of girls here get pg with no CM at all - so don't let that get you down.
I'm in AIM - log on when you get a sec.
Your doctor sounds awesome. I think I need to be more demanding with mine and ask for some tests. I also did not know that one day of OPK was a bad sign. That's my issue there so I don't use them. Did he say what that means? Low LH? Also, what does he mean by "never had a strong enough ovulation"? I haven't heard that before so am just curious what that means exactly.
Best of luck to you. I have faith that this doc will help you and you'll be KU before you know it.
