That sucked

I had to tell my students (incoming and outgoing) that I wasn't going to be returning next year (layoff). I made it fine through telling the fourth graders but telling my fifth graders seriously sucked. Both grades were dissapointed and some cried which just killed me. I had to tell them the truth about why I was leaving because I know many thought I might leave because of Sebastian.

I hate the diocese right now.

We will be moving to Ontario (Canada) at the end of the summer so who knows what sort of work either of us will be doing. DH has a couple job leads.

They haven't decided yet but it looks like they may get rid of homeroom teachers and just have the remaining teachers teach a subject here and there in different classes.

Are you guys coming out to Kitchener? Or somewhere else in Ontario?

Have I mentioned the Ontario Early Years Centers? I don't know if they have anything like that out in the States, but its government funded programs for you and your baby. Google it, its got some cool programs. I have signed up for Infant Massage in July, and Mother Goose (singing nursery rhymes and games and stuff) in Sept. I am sure they have a center in Kitchener.

OOoh I'll look into that, thanks E. We most likely will be moving to Guelph but KW has always been on our list since DH has family there. (Not that they are far from each other).
