And yet, I still hold out hope

Doing the adoption, sinking the $ into the homestudy, yet I still wonder if I'm pregnant near the end of every cycle.

 And I'm still taking the baby aspirin my RE prescribed a year ago. Because I can.

    Can I ask you a silly question about the aspirin?  I took it everyday for about 2 months and it turned my hands/fingers yellow.  I had to stop taking it.  Are you having any side effects from the aspirin?  I took 80mg a day.

    Not a silly question. Potential SEs are the reason my RE didn't want me taking it without her knowledge.

    I bruise more easily, but that's about it. I figured I'll keep taking it until the bottle is empty, then move on.

    To be honest, it might be something to continue doing. My dad has a history of clotting issues, so it might not be the worst idea for me in general. The RE just prescribed it as a CYA move when she couldn't find anything else wrong.

    Hope is funny like that. One way or another, you will have your baby though!

    You are allowed to do anything that makes you feel better and more in control. Hope is such a weird thing - it is so fragile yet it seems to take a lot to really fully extinguish it.

    I agree 100%.

    I have already given up to the idea that we'll move on to adoption next year as planned if my job is OK.

    Still, I can't help but hope every single month.
