Sex every other day for a month?!

I can't imagine this...my friend who got KU after 10 months did this and it worked. Her cycles were way off and she didn't know when she was ovulating (she's a nurse and worked crazy hours so she was not able chart very well) so they did this and it worked. She said it was the most exhausting thing EVER. Will never look at sex the same again. LOL!

    I tried this also and it was definitely exhausting. We both get up early and it became more work than anything. When it becomes a job it is no longer as fun.

    My friend got pregnant the first month trying by doing this.  When she told me they were doing it every other day for the ENTIRE month, my eyes just about bugged out of my head.  Indifferent  I don't think DH and I have the stamina to keep that up for an entire month!  It worked for her though, so who knows!  Smile

    It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!
    Beta #1 (9dp5dt) = 206, Beta #2 (11dp5dt) = 438
    1st u/s @ 6w5d = 11/11/11 = ONE little bean! HB 120bpm!

    I'm whistling with you!  We have been trying everyday and if we are too exhuasted we skip a day, so far only 2 days skipped.  Today is day 11... Smile  Hopefully we can make it the whole month!

    If you're educated about your body, this is COMPLETELY unnecessary. Do yourself a favor and read TCOYF. DH and I tried this before TTC once. There was some pastor preaching have sex everyday for a month to improve your marriage. We only lasted a week. :)

    This too will be our method for next cycle.

    My doc said it like when you have sex every other day...it doesn't matter when you O!

    Yep. Our friends also did this and it only took two months.

    We kind of do a modified version starting around cd8 and going until after I O - a week or so of it is not bad at all. But I do agree that you both have to be up for it. Some days are forced, but we do look at what we want in the end.

    It's true.  I actually talked to my doctor about it yesterday and asked whether it could be a problem.  He said as long as we're enjoying it then there's no reason to stop, so we'll probably keep up with our schedule.  But if it's just stressful then there's no point.

    I'm not saying it's NOT true. As long as YH does not have a low sperm count obviously you could get ku this way. But it is unnecessary. My dr says to have sex every other day from CD 10-20 (assuming normal o date). But I know enough about CM, OPKs, temps, etc to know when I need to have sex. No need to have sex during the first or last week of your cycle.

     Trust me I've got both TCOY and Getting Pregnant and know if you know when you O it's not necessary. Not saying I'm going to do it I just thought it was kind of interesting and amusing and if it works it works.

    we do this although this month..although its sort of turned ino pretty much everyday.

    tiring yes, but it's also a lot of fun as well :)

    We tried everyday and failed in a little less than a week, then we tried every other day and that lasted a little more than a week.  Before we had our son it may have been possible, heck I know we did it, but now there is simply no way.  I am tired just hearing about it. LOL!
