First, I hated missing all the DDing action yesterday, but it was totally worth it, as we had a great appointment!
DH & I got to sit down and talk w/ the RE for about 30 minutes. He went over everything I already knew thanks to all my obsessive research, but it was nice for him to explain it to the man. We covered my history, what RPL tests he would run & why, what we'll do next, and what we'll do if/when we get KU again.
RPL tests were done -- results should be in in 2-3 weeks. They're doing a karyotype on both me and DH, the antiphospholipid antibodies b/w on me, and they did a cervical culture for ureaplasma & mycoplasma.
The plan going forward is for me to call when my next cycle starts (which should be any day now) and schedule a hysteroscopy (he said mainly to check for any scarring from the 2 D&Cs) and a fasting glucose test. They said they could do both of those at one appointment to save me a trip (remember, RE is 100 miles away). Then, once all testing results are in, we can start trying again if all is well (maybe in July ::::squeeeee!!!::::) or if there's a problem then we'll be trying again whenever/however is appropriate.
He also said to go ahead and start taking baby aspirin daily b/c it can't hurt and might help. If/when we get pregnant again, he said they would do bloodwork for the first 2 weeks every few days, put me on vaginal progesterone (ick), then ultrasounds weekly starting at 6w and going through 10w most likely. No way will I fall through the cracks again. ![]()
Anyway, that was my day yesterday. It was worth missing all the fun over here, but now I'm back, and the hardcore 606 can resume. ( o )( o ) ![]()
Re: RE appt (long)
That's wonderful news. I like the sound of weekly u/s's. You should be very proud of yourself for taking control like that and calling the nurse. I am so happy you have an agressive plan.
I can relate to your conversation with the RE. I already know what she is saying but she always takes the time to explain it in detail, which is helpful for the man. He only seems to get it when the doctor says it.

And vaginal progesterone really isn't that bad. I'd rather do that 100 times over than PIO
