TTC After a Loss

and the OPK says....

Positive and Negative. What the crap? Ok, I have the cheapies and a few of the not so cheapies (yet still cheap all the same cause i'm poor/ frugle). Has anyone used the same sample and had two different answers on these boogers? and which one do I believe?

Re: and the OPK says....

  • If you are using the 20 in a pack Answer brand it is a waste! I got 6-7 positives in a row and my dh peed on a stick and got a positive! Totally not kidding! You are wasting your money with any opk's that are not digitals because they are soo hard to read. Go out and get yourself digitals then there is no stress and you see either a circle or a smiley face!

  • Seriously about the Answer 20 pack?  I was so pscyhed about those cause I got them on super sale at WalMart - I even posted about it!  I haven't used any of them yet, and they're still in the package, I wonder if I can return them.  I had luck last cycle when I got pregnant using either the First Response or the Clearblue Easy (I forget which) that were not digital.  Maybe I'll splurge for those again.  I need them badly because my cycles are all over the place.  Why oh why can't you just buy the strips for the digital one?  Why do they make you buy a new strip reader every time???
  • I have been using the Answer brand strips.  Normally they have been really faint lines or white.  When I had my LH surge ( I know I did because I was tested at my OB's office) the answer brand opk's line was really dark on half the line both times.  I read online this is normal.  If any part of the line is darker than the control, you have had a surge.

If I think I am getting false  positives I will post, but I think this brand has been working for me.  The digital readers do seem great though!
