So, when I was KU my DH and I came up with these names:
For a girl- Charlotte
For a boy- Phineas
I loooove both names, but the one I'm unsure about is Phineas. I'm not much of a risk-taker and Phineas just seems so unusual. My DH likes unusual names, whereas I fell in love with the name because of one of my favorite books "A Separate Peace." What do you think? Too crazy??
Scary Note- My DH, with 100% seriousness, wants our boy's middle name to be Zombie Hunter. That way it's kickasss, but he can also just say that his middle name is Hunter to those who would be put off by it.
Scarier Note- I'm seriously considering it. (I know, totally incongruous with my earlier "I'm not much of a risk-taker" statement)
Re: Getting Ahead of Myself: Baby Names
I like phineas, it's unusual but a nice name. I like the nickname Finn...
I think Zombie Hunter is hilarious, so long as he knows not to put that on his resume when he is older
lol
Phineas make me think of Phineas Gage, well know in the neuropsych realm as the railroad worker who had an iorn rod driven into his head and survived, but with a changed personality.
IMO, Phineas on its own I wouldn't like, but with zombie hunter it would amuse me knowing the history of a famous Phineas.
I actually like Zombie Hunter, mainly because he CAN just use Hunter. But, if he ends up a rockin' musician, he'll have a rockin' name to boot. He just can't name his band Zombie Hunter, cuz that's my bro's band's name.
Oh, also, I think Phineas is a great name. You can call him Phinny as a babe, and Phin as he gets older. Or just Phineas. I think it sounds classic and unique, but not "out there."
