what can I give my 9 month old w/ a runny/stuffy nose and a cough? tia.

You can use little noses spay/drops in the nose, baby Vick's on the chest and Tylenol or Motrin for a fever. That's pretty much it. We also steamed DS in the bathroom if he was really congested.

we've been using nose drops and humidifier. i'll have to try baby vick's. thanks. my mom wants to give her some cough medicine but i told her no!

Yeah I keep having to tell my mom that. We went to the doctor today and good news that she doesn't have an ear infection just a cold so we have to ride it out. PLus she has a tooth coming in!

We got the Vicks steam vaporizer machine, but didn't use the Vick's Vaposteam stuff in it, because that's for age two and up. But they sell "Kaz Inhalent" at the drugstore that you can use. When DD had a cold, she was waking up 3 times a night, but when we started using the vaporizer with the Kaz, she slept 10 hours straight, 2 nights in a row, and it helped break up her congestion.

Ask your pedi. DD had a cold last month and my pedi told me not to use Vicks. But suggested I give her 1/2 tsp of children's Dimatapp. I know this is contrary to what most pedis say though.
