we heading to myrtle beach with the fam in sept. the girls will be one. my gut says to take the double stroller. can't beat the storage underneath, but it does take up almost the entire back seat of our ford edge!
We just drove down to Myrtle 2 weeks ago and I broke down and bought 2 small umbrella strollers. They took up little space and worked really well for us. I purchased the connectors so we could psuedo make them into a double stroller, but we ended up not using them. B & K actually LOVED being separate and having their own stroller (and I loved not having to manuver a freaken bus of a stroller around!!).
Can you check into renting a stroller? That's what we are doing (since we're at the beach now). Our stroller took up too much space in our vehicle, so we decided to rent one. We have a really nice double jogger to use while we're here. I think it was about $50 for the week. We also rented cribs since we knew our girls would sleep better in cribs than in PNPs.
thanks! i actually just contacted Babys Away for pricing is that who you used? we are thinking the same about renting. we're staying in a condo. i'm also wondering about renting a baby gate or two!
We bought 2 cheapy umbrella strollers that we use when we travel - so much easier than lugging the giant double stroller and we can zip through crowds, etc. And if you can rent a double when you get there - so much the better!
Re: double stroller or wagon or umbrellas for the beach?
