Don't flame me... I know it's fine... or if you're bored and just want to flame, that's fine too, it won't hurt my feelings.
My doctor told me to start taking Extra Strength Tylenol for my back pain. It says on the front "contains acetametophin" I thought this was "bad" for the baby? What am I really thinking of that's bad??

Acetaminophen = PASS
Ibuprofen = FAIL
you're probably thinking of ibuprophen (aka advil) which is bad for 3rd tri.
edit: also acetacyllic acid (aspirin) is bad too.
both essentially affect your blood's ability to clot which is why its bad in pregnancy since you need your blood to flow freely.
Acetametophin = tylenol (it's the generic name and tylenol is the brand name). It is perfectly safe in pregnancy. In fact, it's the ONLY safe pain reliever, according to my doctor.
"Bad" (ie, not in pregnancy) pain relievers = motrin (advil), asprin, aleve, excedrin (because it contains asprin)
Excedrin has aspirin in it...I was told not to take it.
Tylonals fine.
NSAIDS are bad... these include ibprophen asprin and neoproxen.
an NSAID would be marked bc of the high risk reactions when mixin with other meds
