We have a DX.

in Snarky and T-TTC

MFI

Low Volume, Low Sperm (17 instead of 60-200), and Low Motility 20%. 

My fertility specialist has referred us to a Male Fertility Specialist and a RE. 

She said our best bet was an IUI with meds. 

He was convinced it was him and when my tests came back and they were all good he was even more convinced. Now this.

Its a sad day in the Addy house.

    Getting a negative diagnosis is rough. But, that's great they know how to (hopefully) address the problem .I hope the IUI does the trick for you guys!

    I am a lurker here, but I can tell you that we're dealing with the same thing.

    One of K's s/a showed a count of under 1 million.

    However, there is hope.  He was put on a (very expensive) drug called Arimidex and the last count he had post-wash was 6 million with fantastic motility.  Didn't help the morph, though.

    We had the same issues, and DH took vitamins for several months and cut back on drinking.  Good Luck

    i'm sorry for the sucky diagnosis!  but at least you know what the situation is so you can take the proper steps to treat it.  like the other girls said, knowledge is definitely power.  hopefully the medicated IUI cycle works for you!!

    I found having a diagnosis both sucked and was a relief.  At least we knew what direction to move to try and tackle the issue.  Good luck to you and hopefully an IUI is just what you need!

    Glad you have a diagnosis.  My DH felt really bad at first about the MFI diagnosis.  Once we went to the RE and had a plan in place, he started to feel a little more optimistic.  Good luck with the RE.

    TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!

    Diagnosis sucks, but like has been said, at least you know and knowledge is power.  You can move forward now and take specific steps.  I hope this news will lead to a pregnancy soon for you.  Big hugs.
