One of my best friends had her baby just last year and now she thinks she's an 'expert'. Nothing specific but just her way of stating things like there were fact because it happened to her.

My FIL keeps telling me how he had to teach his wife how to breastfeed so he could look up information if I needed it. I told him I have a team of doctors so I would be fine thanks.

It's a Boy!!
The only one that is annoying me so far is a good friend. She has a one-year-old boy who she has spoiled unbelievably. She keeps telling me "you'll see" and suggesting that I will be the same way because this baby is a boy. Considering I have a three-year-old already (a girl), I find it annoying that she keeps saying that I will be a completely different mother because the baby is a different gender.
Not terribly offensive, but certainly on my nerves.

The worst advice/opinions I have received so far is from my mother and my sister (with a 4 year old). First off, my mother insists that ultrasounds can boil your aminotic fluid! Seriously? Where the heck did you get that info from! Plus, not only does she attempted to instill this opinion in my direction, note she tells me it's just an opinion, she makes me feel guilty and judges me because I elected to get a 3D/4D Ultrasound. Oh, not too mention she also thinks they cause Autism. OMG!
Then my 25 year old sis, insists that because she gained 60 lbs in her 3rd trimester, it's on a matter of time that I will too! We'll sis, if I eat a block of chesse a day in the 3rd tri, I may gain 60 lbs too! Gees, hello, everyone's body is different and goes through changes at different cyles of their pregnancy. Just because you gained all your weight later, doesn't mean I will too. So far I have gained 25lbs (I know it's high, doc said I was fat on Monday) and 10 lbs total (in an 8 week span) from April to now. I really don't think I will allow myself to consume so much that I will blow up 80 + lbs for my pregnancy. (Or at least I hope!)
My aunt told me I should start eating meat now that I'm pregnant because I "won't get enough protein". Uh, first of all, I'm a dietitian so I'm pretty well educated on nutrition. And second, I'm changing my moral and ethical beliefs just because I'm pregnant. This same aunt also told me that I should take out my navel piercing because it would give the baby lead poisening. I had to just laugh at that one!

No rude advice or insight but plenty of annoying things from woman who have a small child and whom seem to forget that I have a 6 year old and not only knows how it goes, but I probably know it better.

I've been lucky so far that nothing has been offensive, but MIL keeps telling me how much harder boys are than girls. She had three boys and her only other grandchild is a girl so that's her comparison. Of course you think girls are easier you didn't live with her 24/7!! And she's an only child! LOL
It's also annoying me that there is never a cute DH kid story, they are all about what a terror he was. Um, he's got terrible eyes and was getting migrains as a little kid so of course he was throwing tantrums. He was much better behaved once he got his glasses. I think the reason the second one annoys me so much is just hormones so I try to ignore it.

My mom give me strange old-wives-tales and my MIL is just always hounding me for names... we told her we are not announcing the name till the birth and she was not happy about that! She no longer calls and emails me about updates since she had a ridiculous fight with hubby.
She's a crazy argumentative biotch so I don't mind the quiet!
